Sunday Road Ride

This ride started as an off road Peel Tower loop but there was still a lot of ice around which made the tracks really slippy. So i stuck to the roads and did a loop round the back of Ramsbottom towards Bolton. I ended up at Turton Tower ther is a nice cafe there but it was closed for the winter. I looped back round towards Darwen then over by Pickup Bank and down through Oswaldtwistle. It took 3hrs and the total distance was 30 miles

Peel Tower Loop

After yesterdays successful ride i went a bit further today and did the Peel Tower Loop. Most of the route was ok to ride despite the snow. It was a bit cloudy and the wind was stronger so it was a bit colder but was still enjoyable. The route is just over 19 miles and took 3hrs.

Halo to Coppice Loop

Not had a ride for a week now because of the snow so i had to get out and blow away the cobwebs. I was suprised that the compacted snow was very easy to ride on and the tyres gripped really well. I set off to The Halo and then came back via the coppice. A good couple of hours in the sun but the wind was picking up and was bitterly cold so i didn't hang about too much.
